DiligentDesigns.biz includes a custom Flash navigation developed by EarthIT. The client requested an animated interactive main navigation that did not compromise on the site's ability to be crawled by search engines. Our solution replaces an HTML version of the main navigation links with the Flash element and allowed us to highlight which page was loaded by simply updating the HTML specifically for that page. We utilized our Flex based light weight framework. This allowed us to produce this custom component in a fraction of the time it would have taken to develop from scratch within the Flash IDE while sustaining a small file size which is appropriate for this site. It has proven that the benefits of custom development are not out of reach, even for small projects.
The Soil Guide is a web application we developed for John Deere. Our task was to conceive of, develop and implement an interactive irrigation decision support system. The database compiled a variety of historical and real-time crop, field, and weather information. This is an intuitive, web-based decision support system consisting entirely of open source web and database components, and a flash-based interface that allows users to view field, crop, and moisture conditions and thus make management decisions in real-time.

John Deere and EarthIT developers teamed up to build an interactive web application called Opti-Gro Workcenter. The mission of Opti-Gro Workcenter was to manage the operations of dozens of aircraft, pilots, cameras, and processing units spread around 3 continents as they scramble to deliver map-accurate digital aerial photography with ultra-tight turnarounds (three days in some cases). Possible? Even the proverbial 300-pound gorilla needs help dealing with airplanes. Our client needed a web-based mission planning dashboard, linked with order management and data processing workflows, so that they could track project status from order, through planning, collection, processing, and quality control, to delivery in real-time.
Soil Information Systems, Inc. needed a web design and web presence for their growing business. The website consists of a public site, intranet, and online maps and data.
Our friends at Well Within called us for advice on web page editing software. Their contract web designer had left them with a nice design and no way to edit the site. They were considering purchasing software and learning to edit the html themselves. In order to keep up with a changing class and special events schedule, we recommended an open source content management system. We took their existing design they had paid good money for, and integrated it with the new content management system, entered their content, and they were ready to go. No cost for the software, itself. Gentle learning curve. Voila! They are in control of their own site.
