EarthIT worked with Cricket Design Works to develop a new website for REAP Food Group, a local non-profit promoting local food systems. Cricket did the design and we made it work on the web. REAP's old site was a collection of separately branded project websites. They needed a unifying theme and they needed a way to manage all of their contents from one interface. EarthIT setup a open source content mangement system, then took design mock-ups from Cricket and transformed them into a template for the CMS. Now, REAP's staff can easily edit their website using the styles defined by the Cricket design team. It all came together just before their annual Food for Thought Festival, where they hosted a visit from Michael Pollan.Screen Shots:
The home page makes it easy to jump right to the information REAP's members are looking for.
A custom accordion provides attractive display for web links, while allowing for management of the web links using the CMS's backend admin component.
